God's case against the Religionist. Religionists: the religionist (Jew) professes religion. False Profession: the religionist (Jew) fails to live what he professes. The religionist believes that a ritual is the way to secure God’s praise or approval (for example, circumcision, baptism, and church membership). The religionist misses the whole point—a true religionist is a man who is righteous inwardly.
